Wk 12 – Artist Conversation – Christopher Linquata

As I was walking through art galleries and visually appreciate each piece, I thought Christopher’s works could relate to me the most and decided to interview him and his showcase “Sacred and Profane”. Christopher is a 38 years old who is majoring in representational painting and drawing. This is his last semester at CSULB. Most of his paintings on his showcase were beach related and the materials he used were acrylic. Each piece took him any where from three to five months to complete. His paintings represent mythological and religious stories, which make sense since the title of his show says it all. Christopher was inspired by many Renaissance and street art painters.

He first took an interest in art in kindergarten and often draw comic books in his later years. As for his first school, he went to CSU-Northridge but took some time off before she resumes his master’s program.

Below are pictures of Christopher and his works.
