During today’s visit to the Art Gallery Courtyard, I had the pleasure of interviewing Huy Le. Huy is currently a sophomore who is majoring in computer science. He wants to major in computer science because he loves math and uses logic a lot. Before he declared his current major, people around him expect him to major in engineering but he decides not to because it is too much work. After he graduates, he would like to work for any IT company, Boeing or as a web designer. He does plan on furthering his education by going to graduate school and get his master’s degree at CSULB.
Huy was born in Vietnam just like me but he came to the U.S. in 2009. He first started school at Will Rogers middle school in the seventh grade. He also has a younger sister and is currently residing near LAX Airport in Los Angeles. Huy told me that he just came back from his vacation during this past summer to Vietnam. Like Huy, I would like to visit Vietnam soon because my last visit was in 2011. Anyhow, when I ask him who sponsored him to the U.S. and he replied “my father”. On his free time, he reads Vietnamese books, plays video games (specifically Devil May Cry) on his laptop. I admired the fact that he chooses to read Vietnamese books as one of his hobbies during his free time because I can’t read books like that and it would frustrate me. As for the question of the week, he would like to dye his hair black (which he already has) because he likes the color he was born in and with. If you would like to know more about Huy Le, go on and check out his website.
